THE FESTIVAL FOR 2020 HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE THE COVID-19 SHELTER IN PLACE ORDER
As one of the longest-running Northwest premier arts events, the Edmonds Arts Festival is a three-day event that celebrates the arts in our community. Scenic downtown Edmonds, just 15 miles north of Seattle and overlooking Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, gives patrons a beautiful setting to view and acquire original works of fine art and crafts. The event provides three days of entertainment, shopping, dining, and gallery exhibits to area locals and visitors alike. During the Festival you can enjoy:
More than 240 artists sell their original creations.
There is art for everyone’s taste. The Edmonds Arts Festival attracts more than 240 artists from across the nation and Canada who bring their unique, one-of-a-kind art objects to enjoy and purchase. Types of art include ceramics, glass, painting and pastels, jewelry, metal, mixed media, photography, sculpture, garden art, clothing, foodstuff, crafts, and more. Setting up shop in tented booths, artists represent their own work during the Festival and are happy to answer questions and discuss how they create their art with Festival patrons. Everyone is sure to find some art they can’t live without!
View and purchase award-winning art.
View award-winning art inside the Anderson Center where three galleries showcase juried fine art from more than 200 area artists. Shown are paintings, prints, drawings, photography, sculpture, and three dimensional artworks. Juried by professional artists, only the highest quality art is selected to be displayed, whether it is produced by an established artist, student, or emerging artist. Awards are given to the highest ranked art pieces in each media category and the prize winning pieces are acknowledged in each gallery. All art inside the galleries is offered for sale.
Celebrating a new generation of artists.
A key element of the Edmonds Arts Festival’s mission is to promote exposure to art and art education to the youth in our community. Partnering with the Edmonds School District, the Festival is one of the pioneer events in the United States that displays more than 1,000 pieces of art from K-12 students. The 2016 gallery showcased art from 32 Edmonds School District schools, seven private schools and individual Home-schooled students residing within the boundaries of the Edmonds School District. Awards of excellence were proudly sponsored by the Port of Edmonds.
