OCEAN, LAKES & RIVERS
Western Washington borders the Pacific Ocean and the Puget Sound brings waterfront living to Seattle and many suburbs. There are numerous large lakes to enjoy including Lake Washington, Lake Union, Lake Sammamish, Lake Stevens, and Lake Goodwin. If you wish you can enjoy one of our major rivers such as the Skagit, Skykomish, Stillaguamish, or Snohomish River.

EASTERN WASHINGTON
Just east of the Cascade Mountain Range is a unique change in climate. Eastern Washington is hotter in the summer, colder in the winter, and gets less rain. Just a few hours from the city you can easily experience a seasonal get away. Enjoy a winter snowfall in Leavenworth or turn up the summer heat at Lake Chelan or get your windsurfing gear and head to the Columbia River. 60% of US apples are grown here and they are delicious.

ABOUT THE PUGET SOUND REGION
The Puget Sound is a large Pacific Ocean inlet that is located on the North West corner of Washington state. The Puget Sound region is the coastal area of land located roughly west of the Cascade Range and east of the Olympic Mountains. The region includes about 90 different cities in 12 different counties. There are over 4 million people that live in this area.
What makes this area so special is the easy access to oceans, rivers, lakes, mountains, forests, cities and desert. Whether you like to fish, mountain climb, snow ski, water ski, hike, bike, kayak, hunt, sail, wind surf... it is all within a short drives distance. Perhaps you enjoy fine dining, theater, museums, dancing, walks on the beach, concerts, sporting events... With 4 major cities, Seattle WA, Vancouver BC, Portland OR, and Bellevue WA, within driving distance.
Want to change the weather, visit a Bavarian themed town, or go wine tasting... A short drive over the pass to Eastern Washington. There is a fairly significant difference between Eastern Washington and Western Washington in climate. The Cascade Mountains trap the rain and clouds from the Pacific Ocean on the West side while it provides a rainshadow for the East side. Eastern WA has hotter summers, less rain fall and colder winters than the west. They also receive a significant amount of snow in the winter while the West side is very minimal and usually only lasts a couple days.

ADVICE FROM A TREE
There is a tree that is native to the Puget Sound called the Madrona tree. It is a hearty tree that grows near the shoreline and whose deep roots prove useful against soil erosion on the steep shore banks.
We think that it represents who we are as a real estate agent team.
"Stand tall and proud.
Sink your roots into the Earth.
Be content with your natural beauty.
Go out on a limb.
Drink plenty of water.
Remember your roots.
Enjoy the view!"
~ Ilan Shamir
