LIVING IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST
From The Pacific Ocean To The Idaho Border
WHY WE LOVE LIVING IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST AND THINK YOU WILL TO
The Great Pacific Northwest does not have an official boundary but roughly starts in the North in Vancouver BC, borders the Pacific Ocean on the West, the Rocky Mountains on the East, and Portland Oregon in the South. Putting the state of Washington directly in the center.
This area is very unique and offers a little of something for everyone. Different climates, different elevations, even different countries. Major metropolitan areas, and acres of rolling farm land. National rain forests and multiple mountain ranges. Everywhere you go you are only minutes from the ocean, a lake, or river.
West of the Cascade Mountain Range you have moderate seasons, lush green landscapes, high elevations, and higher precipitation. East of the Cascades the seasons are more extreme with warmer summers and snow in the winters, flatter terrain, and more wind.
The Madrona Group has its roots firmly planted in the Puget Sound Area. This is the area of Washington state that is bordered by the Pacific Ocean on the West, Deceptions Pass on the North, the city of Olympia on the South, and the Cascade Mountains on the East. Including the cities of Seattle, Bellevue, Kirkland, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Everett, and others.
The Puget Sound itself is a Sound or a coastal waterway that connects in 2 or more places to 1 or more bodies of water. It runs along the northwestern coast of the state of Washington. Connecting the Pacific Ocean via the Strait of Juan De Fuca, Deception Pass, and the Swinomish Channel.
