Evergreen Speedway Nascar Race – Summer Showdown 2017

Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA will host the biggest and richest NASCAR Short Track event in the country for the 6th Annual Summer Showdown July 20-22, 2017. The event has quickly become one of the most premier Super Late Model races in the country in its early stages featuring five different winners in the first five years. Drivers that have won the prestigious event have included NASCAR Truck Series Driver Cameron Haley and Georgia’s Bubba Pollard who has said he will return to the Summer Showdown in 2017.

The Summer Showdown is one of six Budweiser Crown Series races at Evergreen Speedway in 2017. Over $240,000 will be awarded over the six race series.

 

SCHEDULE

 

Wednesday, July 19th
Noon Registration and check in opens at the back gate. No pit pass required on Wednesday.
1:00pm Back gate opens. Haulers in and unload only. Pit stalls are determined by order of entry.
6:00pm Facility closes for the evening.

Thursday, July 20th
8:30am Registration and check in opens at the back gate.
9:00am Back gate opens. Tire sales open.
10:00am Technical inspection opens. Thursday Tech Inspection is Required.
1:00pm Pit meeting covering practice procedures and pit traffic.
3:00pm Practice starts. Track cold for 10 minutes at the top of every hour for crossing.
6:00pm Technical Inspection Closes.
7:30pm Complimentary dinner.
8:00pm Practice ends.
9:00pm Facility closes for the evening.

Friday, July 21st
8:00am Registration open
8:30am Back gate opens. Tech inspection opens. SLM cars must be in full tech compliance before Friday 1:00 p.m. practice
10:30am Late Model Drivers & Spotters Meeting (Tech Trailer)
11:00am Street Stock and Mini Stock Pit Meeting (“Figure 8” Tech Area)
11:00am SLM Practice back gate secured for practice. SLM cars must be in full tech compliance before Friday 1:00pm practice
Noon Track crossing.
12:10pm Mini Stock practice.
12:30pm Street Stock practice.
12:50pm Track crossing.
1:00pm SLM practice.
2:00pm Track crossing.
2:10pm Mini Stock practice.
2:30pm Summer Showdown qualifying tech opens.
2:30pm Street Stock practice.
2:30pm Mini Stock tech opens/Street Stock tech to follow.
2:50pm Track cold. Track crossing allowed.
4:30pm SLM Qualifying. Mini Stock/Street Stock to follow.
6:30pm Opening Ceremonies
Mini Stock Main Event 50 Laps
Street Stock Main Event 50 Laps
Qualifying Heats 25 Laps

Saturday, July 22nd
8:30am Registration open.
9:00am Back gate opens.
10:00am Brief Late Model Drivers Meeting.
10:30am Mini & Street Stock Drivers Meeting .
11:00am SLM practice.
12:30pm Track crossing.
12:40pm Mini Stock practice.
1:10pm Street Stock practice.
1:40pm Track crossing.
2:00pm Summer Showdown tech opens.
2:00pm Street and Mini Stock qualifying.
3:00pm Drivers and Spotters meeting at flag stand.
4:00pm Last Chance Qualifier 50 Laps
5:00pm Mini Stock Main Event 50 Laps
5:45pm Street Stock Main Event 50 Laps
6:30pm Opening Ceremonies
7:00pm Start Your Engines for Summer Showdown 200 Laps!
